I agree but this is an absolutely unacceptable way to handle this. Safety and efficiency are not mutually exclusive.
I don't think it's unacceptable at all. TSA doesn't know who he is. TSA doesn't really know that those are actually just Nintendo switch's. So I'd rather they tear someone's luggage apart and prevent a disaster rather than be gentle and let a bomb or weapon through.

The point is that they just left them all over the place instead of arranging them back safely the way they were. There’s nothing wrong with inspecting luggage, that’s literally their job, but you can’t damage people’s items in the process.
