      Why are @YouTube removing Partner status and monetisation rights from channels with under 4,000 hours of watch time a year?!

      Surely they want as much advert revenue as possible, so why remove adverts from a large proportion of the videos on their site?

      Unless they’re still going to keep showing adverts and just keep all the revenue to themselves without passing any of it on to the creators.

      This means only the top channels can make any money. The insentive for smaller channels has completely gone. 4,000 hours of watch time is an impossible target for smaller channels or those that only post short videos. It’s completely off-putting to those channels.

      I hope the larger creators in the @YouTube community have something to say about this. @CaseyNeistat - please help us little guys get back the same rights as the bigger guys! We’ve done nothing to deserve this!
