As well as the Android app. They're flat-out lying at this point.

Those appear for bigger channels. If you search for channels that reached 100,000, they are verified on the desktop version and not on the mobile app. They are working on that though.

Appreciate the comment~ but now I'm confused on the "The check mark has never appeared on YouTube mobile pages" part. Emphasis on NEVER... It's been 20 minutes since that tweet but I doubt they managed to add that within 20 minutes of that tweet...

They meant that it has never appeared on their mobile page before. If you search LTT, it will show the one you screenshot. But if you go to the channel there is no verification badge. If you search the same channel on the desktop version, you will see it.

Oddly specific... But those check marks make the most impact on clicks when one is searching. Its easy to see that they just wanted to make a statement about "caring" with something they forgotten to add and getting away with it by stating "YouTube Mobile Pages"... PR speak IMO

I agree that this should have been added on the Android mobile app from the start. I do not own an iOS device, so I cannot say for certain if there were verification badges on the iOS version, but from what I can see on the desktop version nobody lost badges.
