Unfollowing all these people who are getting ahead of their skis on Trump’s being imprisoned, impeached, etc. I hope it’s true for the sake of the Republic, but there are still lots of ways this could go, and it’s irresponsible to start leading cheers instead of seeing clearly.

    1) This is extraordinary. Sinclair is now reportedly requiring dozens of local stations to air a segment that defends the tear-gassing of migrants and describes them as an “invasion of our country.” I’m not sure we’ve figured out how to conceptualize this adequately. *THREAD*

Shouldn’t we now demand to “Lock [] up!” and to press the FBI to seize her e-mail server?

The very foundations of our democracy are being tested right now -- the First Amendment, rule of law, and the separation of powers. We must stay united and committed to our democratic ideals if we are to weather the storm.

Virality incentives are all screwed up, part zillion. Backlash, awareness and maybe demonetization is all we got.

Here's THE question after several days of testimony and evidence presented in the Manafort trial. If Manafort was in such dire financial straits in 2016 why did he decide to work for Trump for free?

What media needs to do is *stop pretending* there's still a Republican Party in America. There are Trumpists, and there are patriotic Americans—some of whom are Democrats, some of whom are independents, and some of whom *formerly* belonged to what we knew as the Republican Party.
