This is awful. Having previously experienced someone putting something in my drink whilst I HELD the thing, it's scary, but was lucky enough to have had a stranger alert me Keep hold of your drink whenever you can, put your hand or a coaster over it, buy & pour your own drinks https://twitter.com/MsJuneGiraffe/status/1297931534234718211 …
.. Avoid sharing drinks. Go to the bar with someone if they're buying you a drink. Check your drink if someone bumps into you. (I'll never stop this habit again) Most of this applies when you're in a club or with people you dont know very well. Stay safe & be alert, friends.

I'm legit curious about this mindset of going to bars and clubs. I don't understand the appeal of it. Can you explain it to me? The bars I've been to are "mind your own business" affairs and clubs would kill me (asthma and noise/light sensitivity) so I've always been curious.

It's totally a preference thing, it's honestly not for everyone. The vibes differ a lot between cities, venues, etc. Bars in Sheffield, UK where i am now are pretty informal, chilled out & nice ways to be stood/sit for a quick drink or two and catchup with someone. (1/2)
