Apartment listings in London really be trying to convince everyone a 1 bed flat means a bed next to the fridge in the kitchen.

I once lived in an apartment that looked identical to this, down to the two single beds. There was a door that actually joined to another apartment that was just locked with a flimsy lock, both apartments had a key to the joined door. (Luckily @Vazzan lived there).

You missed the bit where my apartment didn't have a bathroom and I had to use one that was on the other side of a corridor, it was only for my apartment but..... not in my apartment

Should also point out that Uni we lived in a house where the only way into 1 of the bedrooms was through my bedroom or the bathroom.... I feel we've both got better at picking places as we've grown up
