Why are plant care websites so reticent to even give an estimation of how often to water or fertilize plants? Yes yes soil dryness but a rough time estimate would be handy? Literally the website I'm looking at says 'fertilize throughout the growing season'. THAT DOES NOT HELP.

Other key indicators depend on the plant. How light is the pot? How easily can you squeeze the leaves? Is it dropping? How deeply did you water it last time?
So much to learn! To be honest i wasn't even aware most of these were factors to consider! I'm still a bad plant parent, but ill get there

It's a knowledge base you pick up over time. That said, once you have your watering schedule down it involves a lot less thinking
