Hence the commonly used phrase, "Free/open source is free like a puppy, not free like beer." FOSS is a living, evolving thing which requires maintenance, and that comes at a cost.

I hadn't heard that phrase. Regardless, y'all are responding like it's a complaint. It's not, it's just that I noticed the irony. People are free to do whatever they want to try to make a living.
