You do realize that children are literally the most self-destructive creatures on Earth? Leave them unsupervised for one minute, they can hurt themselves in a most ridiculous way possible. Consider also that firearms always have safety and that pulling a trigger requires force.
Weapons of war have no place in our communities. We need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.

I remember once my mom left for not even 30 seconds and my 3 year old brother unbuckled himself, climbed to the driver seat and pulled the column shifter to drive. Luckily there was a beater truck in front of us and no real damage was caused.
