    A correction for earlier... It's not clear if Gov Cox met with the specific kids in question, but he took the time to learn about them and met with members of the trans community, so we was still doing due diligence.

    I hope that we'll see more people like Gov Cox across the aisle. People who we may not agree with on a lot of issues, but whom we can trust to make decisions and policy based on a compassionate view of the facts. In an ideal world, that would be everyone on BOTH sides.

    When I was younger, I made the decision that, if my faith ever made me feel conflicted, I would always err on the side of love. Which is at the core of my faith anyway, so not a big stretch. I just wish we saw more people who felt that way, especially in positions of power...

    But you have to take the time to study and verify facts. There's so much misinformation preying on fear and hatred, which leads to acting out of fear and hatred instead of caring and compassion. At the end of the day, Gov Cox says he wants kids to live. That's what's at stake...
