It's good to hear that court has ruled against the extradition of Julian Assange but I am wary of the fact it's on mental health grounds It's a rather feeble precedent against the extradition of whistleblowers and/or in defence of the free press Democracy needs better than that

The judge said it was a US politically motivated attack on freedom of speech
an observer said the judge's summing up sounded like a statement from the prosecution. No point of principle has been won.
Democracy doesn’t exist, just belief in it does.
Is it possible that she was using the apparent upholding of the USA judicial system to protect him against later US appeal?
So come on all you slack journalists & news outlets - time to find some guts and fight on his side! All of you stand to gain!
