Rhiannon is a well known, experienced figure in the party, a councillor with extensive connections through her work in the youth wing and the TIE campaign, so perhaps not so surprising that she won

Yet despite these connections Rhiannon was run incredibly close by
@ColetteWalker12 an unknown, registered blind single mum with no organisation or money behind her and little experience of political campaigningShow this thread -
The
#womenspledge group formed and met for first time during conference and have not yet begun organised campaigning. Colette was the only candidate for her post to sign the pledge which reached 2000 signatures todayhttps://secure.avaaz.org/en/community_petitions/SNP_members_and_supporters_SNP_Womens_Pledge/ …Show this thread -
Colette, despite her disability, was horribly bullied online by younger males in the party because she has concerns about sex self ID. Here is one of them literally targetting her and a female WM candidate - and mocking women with unconcealed contempt.pic.twitter.com/ylOzFICZsB

As a woman who has herself experienced unacceptable online abuse I hope Rhiannon reaches out to both women & sends a strong message to bullying men that no matter how well connected they are, targetting female politicians for abuse is wrong.

I’m so proud of Colette. Like you say, she was massively the underdog yet a swing of <20 votes would have seen us with a brilliant, kind, brave woman to represent us. I’m gutted it didn’t happen but I hope that in the very near future, we’ll see Colette back fighting our corner.

Seeking information. Did *all* delegates have a vote in the election of Women's Convenor, or was it only women delegates?
-
It was all delegates
