Without taking a position on the state of prosecution in SF it's always a bit comical to see people pretend that awful tragedies like this don't happen in other places too.

Your attempt was to point to a state/city that you perceived to be conservative to show this kind of thing happens everywhere. It doesn't happen everywhere. It happens in jurisdictions with 'progressive' DA's.
