What pains me the most about leaving JisuArt is that we had a specialized server where I kept my art files (WIPs, sketches, resources) I knew this was coming, but....I don't have those files anymore and thus a lot of my work from the past years is gone

They were stored in physical drives. It's most likely not setup on a network connection anymore

Last year I had a harddrive die on me, and it had all of my art files (psds and finished stuff) from like 2008-early 2017. It was pretty devastating. I still have the harddrive in case I'll be able to recover the files somehow one day.

I sympathize with you, losing stuff you've poured time and sweat into definetly hurts. Only thing you can do is aspire to be greater than your past self and put time into the new you.
