You lose because your total ability is lower, and controller quality absolutely factors into that
If anyone thinks they're losing cuz of their controller they need to take a lesson from art and realize it's not cuz of the tool/software.

People focus way too much on their controller. People make bad decisions at least 10x more often than they mess up tech skill, imo

My tablet broke recently. yeah I could have gone traditional, or used my mouse. But replacing my broken tool was the optimal choice for me.

My controller issues (or more melee's internal issues) literally stop me from enjoying the game. That stops me from even wanting to play it.

It's more like your photoshop randomly decides to erase portions of your art and there's very little you can do to stop it bc ctrl+Z broke
