On the topic of getting a career thru art school and/or social media-- I'm self-taught and largely an "e-artist" but it's time we shed some light on one of the most discouraging parts of ur art career aka the social media "game"

This is what cause awkward fake friendships/socialite bs, and if you don't play into it ur just harming ur stats (or worse be accused of being pretentious, aloof, etc like I have for refusing to play into the ginormous circlejerk that is currently the artist social media game)

Social media is obviously not all bad. I wouldn't be where I am without it, and it's helped me find a lot of new creatives. But it does suck when artists feel pressured to post perfect sketchbooks, constantly post, tag, etc.
