.@NYGovCuomo’s top aide at the @nydems is floating a reunification plan for the #nysenate Democrats and IDC: co-leadership, joint floor control, no primaries, ability to approve each other’s deputies (adios Mike Gianaris!). If @IDC4NY says no, then all Dems attack.

The mainstream #nysenate Dems say they’re open to this framework. No word yet from the @IDC4NY.

I just spoke with @senatorfelder, a Dem who caucuses with the #nysenate GOP. He’s not committed; Dem-IDC reunification gets you to 32 votes.

.@senatorfelder said he is open to whomever. IE, a bidding war for his loyalty would still have to be had, in April. #nysenate

In a statement, @JeffKleinNY called the tentative #nysenate deal “very exciting;” wants it to be based on legislative priorities including public campaign finance, GENDA, Dream Act and single-payer health care.

Sounds like a bad deal for Dems & for NYers. Why reward Klein & the IDC? Why shld Andrea S-C share control? No guarantee on legislation too.

Oh there will be primaries. The state Dems have no control over that.

What does @NYSenatorFelder get out of the deal? And what part of @JeffKleinNY's legislative agenda would he actually vote for?

Will the IDC still be bankrolled by the ideologically bankrupt Ind party? Will we have the threat of a breakaway again if ‘it’s my way or the highway Klein’ doesn’t get his way? This is not Solomonic, it’s Faustian. @NYProgCaucus
