also weird focus on the *form* of the development (mid and high rise) rather than on the economics and affordability of it. high density isn't bad and that's some weird suburban NIMBY shit to be putting out there for a city with a severe housing shortage.

Sunnyside Yards presents an opportunity for massive amounts of affordable housing, public green space, and transportation improvements. Increasing our affordable housing stock by 10k+ would help alleviate our affordability crisis, not exacerbate it.

Nobody wants Hudson Yards clone here, but if we don’t productively use this space to better our city, we will continue to be forced to live with an imposing geographic barrier between LIC and the rest of Queens.

ok but honest question: what do you propose instead? we need more housing, can you help find funding to make it affordable or public? or would you rather the site lie fallow forever? it's a lot easier to say no than it is to be constructive.
