Some personal news to share: Growing up in Pittsburgh, it was my dream to work at one of my hometown stations. I’m eternally grateful to WTAE for making that dream come true 6 years ago. Next Friday will be my last day at WTAE.

Tonight at 11: The parents of Derrick Harris, 15, say their son had been involved in an altercation with another 15 year old Monday. That 15-year-old, Jaymier Perry, was charged with criminal homicide in the fatal shooting of Harris today.

This poor pup was found along the road in Hempfield Township Thursday. A local rescue center says the dog was so emaciated, she wouldn’t have survived much longer. Now the question is - what happened to her and why? Story on

We’re going to learn a lot about the #Pirates in the next two weeks. 9 out of the next 12 against these 3 teams, including @ TB and @ Bal with a 3 game set against Colorado in-between. A 5-7 stretch wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

#Breaking: The solicitor for the Ligonier Valley Police Department tells me yesterday’s raid at the department was focused on Chief John Berger. I’m told he’s currently on administrative leave and the department continues to operate as normal with the assistant chief in charge.

In December, Uniontown Treasurer Antoinette Hodge was accused of stealing more than $100K from taxpayers. Now police say she did the same to a local church group. She’s still actively working as treasurer and is on the ballot seeking re-election.

The Fayette County District Attorney said Hodge is now charged with stealing money from the Youghiogheny Western Baptist Association, a religious association consisting of 27 Baptist churches.
