The geek in me is excited by the Bat-multiverse but the observer in me doesn't quite get WB's thinking. You're launching a whole new Batman star & movie you're supposed to be getting ppl excited about but you undercut that by leaning into nostalgia by bringing back 2 past actors?pic.twitter.com/potgsNHwS2

I think any speculation about a master plan gives too much credit to the people developing these things. My guess is that WB's development process is siloed, and different teams have different players and agendas. That's it.

I agree. I don’t get it somtimes. I even remember that too when The Flash Was ready to premiere on tv. They went and did that. I was like? Kind of a dick move.... I even remember Stephen Amell called them out on it too.

The movie was announced 2-3 seasons in for the show. What a mess. I hated Batfleck. They can't get the casting right and don't write the tv shows well, let alone the movies....
-
No it wasn’t. The movie/ Ezra’s casting was announced literally the same month the TV show premiered it’s first episode.

And Stephen Amell/Arrow (out of all people) was pissed by that. It's all good now, Ezra Miller and Grant Gustin have shaken hands in costume on TV now
