Just spitballing here so sorry if this is dumb but what if instead of street protests we have a multi-evening convention (like in politics) in a rented place where cops can't just break it up. All networks & social platforms would be required to air them as a public service.

By the police doing what they are during these protests, they are proving the need for the protests in the first place. I see where the heart is on this idea, but we as Americans barely act when we see the injustices happening in front of our eyes (1/2)

and if we take the protests off the streets and into buildings, we lose the little bit of light we're currently shining on the cockroaches in the PDs and their fellow officers who would rather commit violence against the citizens than stand against the "bad apples".

Just looking for a way to minimize the violence and not lose the message. There will always be protests but this would be for more controlled messaging and the ability to not have it be overtaken by either outside instigators or police

No I get that. But be wary of the "outside instigators" narrative, as that's long been a governmental tool to try to keep the proletariat at each others' throats instead. This level of protest is LONG overdue. As a white dude I refuse to try to limit the voices crying out.

America was born out of violent protest so, yes, I get it but at this point we've seen police abusing protestors since the '60s and yet here we are. As for outside instigators, all those white dudes smashing in windows qualify IMO.
