Just watched it, too. Agree. It seems scientifically engineered to delight little girls (“and now she’ll turn it into an even more sparkly horse!”), so I’ll concede we may not quite be the audience for it... But the first one worked for nearly everyone, I think.

You know, Disney's animated movies often have very mature undertones -- Pocahontas gets at colonialism (but kinda fizzles in the end), Hunchback explores lust and religion, Zootopia explores racism, and so on.

And Snow White foresaw a time where seven workers all had to share the same place to live in. If they remade it now they would work in the tech field instead of mining.
