I don’t necessarily disagree but I think that does a large disservice to his character. I think he was more of the “hero” in the first one to show Sarah what she needed to do for the second one. Equal parts for both of them.

I don’t remember the movie that specific. let’s take Avengers Infinity War for examples; the heroes are the Avengers, but the protagonist is Thanos. I understand that the hero is Kyle Reese. The Protagonist is Sarah.
