I still haven't seen the film yet (but will) but releasing a movie aimed at the generation who streams opposite event blockbusters on Memorial Day weekend was unwise?

Not unwise.. was it unwise to realase Blockers or Adventureland or Edge of 17 or The Way Way Back into theaters? At the end of this I bet this film makes about the same as those coming of age films.. it’s just concern ab good movies being forgotten and not made bc of bo numbers!

Guess it depends on what they opened against. (At least Booksmart can't have cost too much to make.) Blockers definitely had competition and a bit more name value and marketing behind it. The Way, Way Back opened in limited first
