Hang in there @LaurakBuzz

It's harrowing to see just how quickly these people have jumped at the chance to make Laura out as some kind of villain despite the article itself coming from a place of genuine concern.
-
Naturally, there's also the usual gator ilk that want nothing more than to make an example of every game journo they don't like, but I don't count those fuckers as "people".
-
Clearly none of you have known Laura’s history of being a malicious and being just an all around genuinely awful journalist. It isn’t surprising that she would have axe to grind. She knew what she was doing with that article so she’s still as much to blamehttps://twitter.com/sophnar0747/status/1119195133675806721?s=21 …

Pretends to hold people to a higher standard, until it's a friend. Now it will all get blamed on toxic gamers rather than shitty shiitty clickbait "JuRnaLizuM". This is why you are infuriating to follow wading though shit to find the great stuff you produce.

What needs explaining? I assume you know the situation, Jim, and I would hope you recognise how unprofessional and absolutely ridiculous the article in question was. Nothing about it reflects well on “games journalism” and should just have never been written.
-
I’m not saying Laura should have been attacked. But I DO think it’s 100% ok to be called out for it and criticised over it. Kotaku UK as a whole should be embarrassed.

Interesting to see you defend bad journalism when it’s a friend.

Are there not more important things to be concerned about... No apparently a video game is worth attacking someone so much they need to take a break from the internet. Perspective some people do not have it.

Defames developers by mishearing a lyric. Proceeds to make a hit piece all on ONE LINE! This isn't the first time, they never looked up the lyrics, didn't give ANY time to respond. But sure "poor Laura"https://nichegamer.com/2019/04/19/opinion-the-questionable-ethics-of-laura-kate-dale/ …

I would have hoped, perhaps naively, that Kotaku wouldn't throw their writers under the bus like this. I hope she knows that there are plenty of us who would support her on Patreon again were she to go independent once more.

Her reply to Casey has been deleted, hopefully this (your response) still appears on people's timelines as solidarity between journalists, content producers, and their audiences is something sorely needed in times like these.

I love tweets with no context, especially when I still only know that there was "the article" after looking for info for 10 minutes.

I take Laura's statement (that was deleted) at face value and take her word that it was a draft that was published without comment. So now I'll blame those inept morons over at
@Kotaku_UK . No wonder nobody takes any of you clowns seriouslyThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
