This is true. I was interviewed recently by for a piece on millennials moving cities and afterward I was so worried I had said something dumb. The piece ended up great, but it was a useful exercise in empathy for interview subjects.

Every journalist should get interviewed on the record a few times. It's scary! You have no control over what happens after that and have to trust the reporter + their editors. Done it. I bring empathy to my sources since it requires their faith in us! #journalism #reporting.
