As a christian and a person of faith, let me say this: while praying is never a bad thing, Damar Hamlin is alive because of science, modern medicine, proper training, and a whole group of knowledgable humans who took quick action informed by reason.

Bollards at Washington & Canal St. Fairly new. Now one is cracked and one is knocked over. Must’ve been one of those lawless bike riders.

If a driver turns on the blinking hazard lights, then it’s OK to abandon the car in the bike lane, I guess.

The traffic light at Ogden Ave and Lake St that was knocked over by a car and not fixed for months is now fixed. Yay! That leaves three intersections in Near West/East Garfield with stoplights knocked over: Warren & Paulina (pictured), Ashland & Monroe, and Washington & Leavitt.

Im all for adopting metric, but Fahrenheit is going to stay. It's the only temperature scale based on human livability & comfort. For that purpose, it works very well and is much more granular for setting a comfortable house temp. Opposed to fussing between 0.5 C increments.

Wow. I just blocked a bunch of right-wing nuts from my Twitter feed, and it's so much better.
It's not that I can't handle opinions different from mine. It's that theirs is bad-faith bulls#it and it's exhausting.

One piece of election analysis I’ll make as Republicans lost some close elections they thought they would win, is that a certain number of putative Republican voters died of COVID. No masks, no vaccines. A few hundred votes here and there make a difference.

823 N. Damen Ave. Of course doesn’t care, but someday, when someone is killed, their illegal parking and bike lane blocking will result in civil liability, with punitive damages, because of their persistent reckless disregard for the law.

1013 W. Hubbard St. - The driver of this vehicle believes there’s no law against parking a truck in a bike lane. .
Oh and he pays for “my” bike lane through a vehicle sticker, motor fuel tax and insurance.

Within five minutes today. Washington Blvd should not be considered a bike lane if it’s going to be used as a loading zone for cars.
