every part of ticketmaster is cursed -the waiting room system effectively makes onsale times much earlier than announced -some presales don’t include tickets for the cheapest sections and make you bet more $ -some general sales start with GA already sold out -CONSTANT CRASHING

my brother was in the waiting room for us and a friend for mcr in chicago today. 2k people in front of him and he got kicked without explanation when he was finally able to get to the tickets. he ended up trying to get tickets on his phone but they were sold out

-
ugh the waiting room format sucks sooo much. it makes the true onsale time much earlier than what’s promoted, but most people don’t realize they have to “line up” way before!

The "scalpers" are not scalpers.... The "scalpers" are literally Ticketmaster increasing their own prices based on the rush to score tickets. TicketMaster admitted to me on the phone that they change the prices in real time. She called it "dynamic pricing".
-
This is an issue that Artists need to call out, but they won't because they cash in on the scam, too. Fans will always pay top price to see their favorite artists, and Ticketmaster knows this. I'm done buying tickets to any TM event.

Foo Fighters did a “Beat the ‘Bots” thing a few years back on tour and it was so great. Old school, tickets at the venue only. Wait in line, no online sales. I waited in line several hours and got incredible seats. Wish more artists would do that. Truly the only way to beat TM.
-
It does have the limit of only benefitting fans who live near the venue or who can very easily afford travelling to another city/country for a chance to maybe get tickets. A lot more difficult if a fan's city/country wasn't included in a tour

In this tech day in age why don't the artists just do sales on their websites?? And didn't
@PearlJam sue Ticketmaster in the 90's, how is this all still a thing?? Do artists even care? Are they profiting? I'm so done with music..and everything, it's all to corporate
-
Artist don’t care because at the end of the day it means a sold out show. If Ticketmaster is buying all the tickets then reselling them, it really doesn’t matter to the artist because the tickets got sold no matter how
