Thank you
it’s roughly 500x500um. - Još 3 druga odgovora

What perspective is this?
-
It’s two photon imaging of hippocampal area CA1 in vivo

Is it through a grin lens? Could you tell which ones do you use?
-
No I have just aspirated the cortex above CA1 and implanted a 3mm ring with a coverslip on the bottom. It s sitting right on corpus callossum. Check out my
#biorxiv preprint for more details

Are these excitatory neurons? If so, these neurons may receive photodamage. We did not normally observe persistent neurons when laser with low power is used.
-
They are actually both excitatory and inhibitory. It’s synapsin-driven GCaMP6f

Look how packed-in those hippocampal cells are
! No wonder tetrodes have difficulty keeping up,
and clustering is hard. Tetrodes measure in the depth direction too
! #Miniscope rules. Thanks for sharing the gorgeous data. What was the#behavior?#UCLA@UCLA_BRI -
In this case
#2photon imaging rules! The#miniscope can’t get such resolution down in the pyramidal layer. This guy was learning a working memory task. Headfixed though. That’s where the miniscope power would come in. But the video wouldn’t be as cool
