#gameaudio if you had the choice between Rode NT4 vs Sony PCM M-10/D-50. Which would you choose for ambience field recording?
@hzandbits I'm torn between d-50 and nt4. Portability isn't an issue it's more about what would get the best results

@JeyKaziAudio Well, what would you use as a recorder for the nt4? The D50 has a rep for great sound, does X/Y and pseudo ORTF patterns (1/2) -

@JeyKaziAudio (2/2)..but is discontinued. OTOH, M10 + phantom pwr unit + any mic you want...is pretty flexible. -
