It is likely that Israel, as it did in the last election, will play a role in seeding disinformation in order to end up with candidates from both parties favorable to its interests. But there are plenty of American Israel supporters eager to do that work for them independently.

While some of these groups are vanity projects and purely ideological, like Dov Hikind's AAS, others have ties to the GOP and Trump administration and are very clearly exploiting concerns about antisemitism for electoral gain.

Don't be fooled into thinking these funders are motivated purely by their commitment to the Jewish people and Israel. They are multimillionaires who benefit greatly from Trump's economic agenda and who have no problem exploiting Jewish concerns for their own material gain.

When I was at the U.N. I did an internal research project which uncovered a migration of paid astroturf specialists from the tobacco industry to the pharmaceutical industry after the tobacco court settlements. The MO of this operation is reminiscent. I bet it's consultant driven.
