i cannot emphasize enough that convictions are not justice for George Floyd. We will never know because justice requires the participation of the people impacted by it. The dead cannot participate. There is relief, punishment, but not “justice”

Justice is an end to qualified immunity Justice is defunding the police Justice is the end of police brutality, over policing, & white supremacy. Justice is George Floyd being alive. Today, we are grateful for accountability. And now we get back to fighting for real justice.

Remember did not act alone. He is part of a system and culture that led to George Floyd’s death including officers that stood by and ignored George’s pleas for help and a legal system that allowed cops to pursue him over an alleged fake $20.

"Order" is always their primary concern, and they want you to confuse "order" with "justice" and "safety." The thing is, decades of reform have just made injustice and violent disposal a lot more orderly.

Seeking asylum is legal and a human right. The federal government requested that states house unaccompanied migrant children while they undergo their asylum screenings, etc. Refusing to house these kids could mean more of them stay in CBP custody longer until they can be moved.

Police still exist to uphold white supremacy. They have been empowered by laws and the courts to inject themselves into Black life for any reason, no matter how minor — even dangling air fresheners.

Wasn’t fired. Hasn’t been arrested. Because what she did is an institutionalized form of violence. The entire institution of policing & the gov’t that funds it murdered Duante Wright, not just Kim Potter
