These things bite . Not venom, but giant fangs and dirty mouths. It could easily crush a windpipe no matter how fast dad thinks he'd be able to free that kid. And snakes can recognize smells so maybe it "knows" him. But they're not too bright. Anyway my dad jimmies are rsustled.

I volunteered at an animal rescue place years ago where one of the managers told us of the time a python clamped down on his hand and wouldn’t let go. They had to put his hand underwater in an aquarium to get it to do so.

My daughter was bitten by a python once - she was 10yo - bit her thigh, clamped down hard with zillions of tiny teeth and was a hard time getting it off. Very painful for my lil girl. She’s 20 now and still has the interesting scars to show to her boyfriends
