Building on top of the same tech platforms is going to have the same bad biz results. The key is (always) differentiation. Publishers have a hard time seeing what is TRUE differentiation that will build meaningful consumer loyalty over time. More here

I'm pretty nervous about how some publishers are already thinking about AI because I see a new platform dependency playing out. News finally woke up to the risk of the social media dependency and now we have AI....
