“No, I work well with clearly outlined tasks, education → training → practice → experience over time → expertise, constructive criticism, and appropriate boundaries where I don’t have to pretend corporations are ‘families’ and industries are ‘communities.’”

“Do you work well under pressure?” Needs the response “is this job one that regularly engages actual emergencies (e.g. an ER, a fire department) or do you fabricate urgency through poor management, uneven distribution of duties and an inflated sense of self for upper management?”

THANK YOU and every artist, athlete, and entertainer who uses their platform to speak out in industries where there is immense pressure to say & do little bc many believe silence is more profitable. Culture matters. Moments like these make a huge, huge difference.

I will repeat this as long as I have to, when the Supreme Court said in 1937 that the Social Security Act was “unconstitutional”, FDR didn’t ask people to vote harder in the next election, he told the Court he’d add more justices until they backed off, which they did.

Just another reminder that those who have the resources and adequate healthcare will continue to be okay and those whose with employers that don’t even provide healthcare to part-time/essential workers will suffer.

After the Supreme Court ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade, corporate giants from a range of industries pledged to provide support and financial assistance for employees — and, in some cases, their dependents — seeking abortions in states that outlaw it. cnn.it/3ngGfVW

The clinic staff spent Friday canceling the appointments of 60-70 patients scheduled for abortions in the coming weeks. “Some patients broke down and could not speak through their sobbing. Some patients were stunned and didn't know what to say. Some patients did not understand.”

The only abortion clinic in West Virginia is no longer performing abortions, as of today. “Roe has never been enough, but in states like West Virginia, it was the only thing protecting abortion access,” executive director Katie Quinonez said. apnews.com/article/live-u

Happy Father's Day to the immigrant Papas who moved across the world to plant roots in an unknown land. The ones who didn't have a roadmap and are trying their best. The ones who never looked back in order to create a life where we can intentionally make choices they never had.

Six years ago today, 49 precious lives were cut short in a mass shooting at Pulse Nightclub. We must honor those we lost with action – starting with passing nationwide commonsense gun safety measures and our Gun Safety 3.0 package here in New Jersey.

Joe Garcia dying of a broken heart after his wife was killed protecting her students, and subsequently orphaning their 4 young children, is just about the saddest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. I’m really so shaken. I hope this children have community and support around them

This thread will be dedicated to the victims of the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas. As a parent, my heart is broken seeing these faces and their ages. My condolences to their families during this difficult time 🙏🏻 Xavier Lopez, 10. He was a 4th grader at Robb Elementary.

Filled with rage and grief, and so broken by the murders in Uvalde. By Buffalo, Laguna Woods and so many others. By the ways in which we, as a nation, have become conditioned to unfathomable and unbearable heartbreak. Steve’s words ring so true and cut so deep.

Last week, someone lost a parent or a grandparent. A deep hurt. This week, there is a parent who sacrificed everything for their child to have a better life in this country that won’t see their child grow up. The hurt and pain I feel for our families.

every time this happens I watch the conversation move toward the why. Mental health, race, class, domestic dispute etc. I kind of can’t stand that because all it does is protect the only constant in each case: a gun.
