The White House has this statement out, attributed to Andrew Kossack, the executive director of the commission. It does not address why he hasn't provided Dunlap with the documents he'd asked for prior to filing the suit. I've asked.pic.twitter.com/CD6CPJMR0E

Dunlap and his attorneys have both said to me - and it says in the filing - that this suit is a last resort, filed because Kossack himself didn't answer Dunlaps repeated complaints.
