When politicians use faith as an excuse to pass and uphold laws that seize control of people’s bodies but not guarantee them healthcare, feed the poor, shelter the homeless, or welcome the stranger, you have to wonder if it’s really about faith at all.

so you don’t think there’s an issue w the lack of “works of faith” that have, by your logic, led to so many humanitarian issues (i.e. homelessness, increasing race hate crimes, lack of resources for needy)???
Agree. There needs to be more works of faith. That is why we have many problems that we look to the gov to solve instead of helping as a community and/or as a church. Christians must do more. We have not done near enough. This does not call for more gov, but more action by people

You cannot have it both ways. Faith based contributions to lobbyists are a means of ensuring legislation. If it is by Faith that we live by the beatitudes then let every person regulate their body by conscience
