Proof it's possible to hold both joy and despair in the same space: I just registered for another 10k. I have zero excuses now not to be a gym hamster this winter.

I love listening to a good storyteller on the L. This gent is talking to his seat partner - a stranger - about a time when he tried to pick up a girl and all these shenanigans that ensured. His laughter and the stranger’s next to him is contagious.

Loving Jonah Lehrer’s book Proust Was a Neuroscientist. Looks at the intersection of art and science and is beautifully written. Can’t remember who recommended it to me. ?
