In my state, Florida, conservatives have repeatedly thwarted ex-felons from registering to vote. Even after a 2018 amendment that received 60%+ of the vote.
So many people in Delaware don’t know they can register to vote even if they were convicted of a felony. People with most felonies can register after completing their sentence and supervision. We have until October 10 to get people registered for November’s election.pic.twitter.com/yTkaRRqFVp

There's nothing in the Constitution prohibiting felons from voting. And considering that felon disenfranchisement wasn't really a big thing until after the 13th amendment, I think it might just be racist.
