Minimum wage should be $25/hr nation-wide. After 3 years working full-time as an EMT in IN, I was making $11.38/hr before deductions. And that job has FAR higher instances of physical danger, emotional injury, & suicide rates than police OR firefighters. 1/

We also need to be talking more about how poverty wages force folks to enter/stay in abusive relationships because they cannot afford to live on their own. That in turn disproportionately adversely affects women & children.
