In 1998 I had an appendectomy while pregnant and 2 months later my son was premature. Our bills were insane and we had no choice but to declare bankruptcy. No family should go through this. We need to rule our state, not big pharma and insurance companies.
That is awful. We have to fight to end this barbaric system.

To add insult to injury, my appendectomy surgeon sued me and because my ex husband just started a new job and I was on pregnancy rest we didn't have our new insurance yet. We applied for Medicare and were denied. No new parents need this stress.
