Talked to a man today who’s a brand new father to 2 premature babies. He’s wasting time going over bills and calling the insurance company to understand and contest charges. Why does the Senator think that’s how this man should spend the first weeks of his children’s lives?

In 1998 I had an appendectomy while pregnant and 2 months later my son was premature. Our bills were insane and we had no choice but to declare bankruptcy. No family should go through this. We need to rule our state, not big pharma and insurance companies.
