I talked about this on my livestream this week after a few letter carrier supporters brought it to my attention. Republicans are trying to destroy an effective public good to convince you it needs to be overhauled. They will then privatize it to reap more wealth at our expense.https://twitter.com/ryangrim/status/1285908762444922883 …

NEW: Trump’s postal service is piloting a new program that will take already-delayed first-class mail and delay it further, by ordering carriers to no longer sort and box newly arrived mail in the morning and then deliver it. Instead, they must wait till the end of the day. pic.twitter.com/AEJYgBP1vJ

It’s a push for privatization. Classic Republican move.

It’s very scary! We need to hold our elected officials accountable to fix this. Explainer thread about USPS’s situation here: https://twitter.com/uspostoffice911/status/1285650528593117185?s=21 …https://twitter.com/USPostOffice911/status/1285650528593117185 …

THREAD: Which Constitutional thing do you take most for granted? Probably the Post Office. Literally created in the Constitution, the Post Office is a critical part of our American fabric. But now it's in danger. 1/

They have been trying to privatize this as well as schools, hospitals and anything else they think they can make money on. Reduce unions, workers pay, benefits, and service. Then once an industry is privatized they buy out small owners, create small group monopolies.

Standard issue GOP playbook- deliberately sabotage something then cry about how it doesn't work and that must mean we should privatize it because that always works so much better lololol Actually this treachery started in 2006 with that stupid pension mandate. Repeal that too.
