Protests are for the people without the power. If you’re a lawmaker, you can actually make the protesters’ demands reality. Standing in solidarity without using your power is nothing more than theater.

But that might require them to give up some of their power or privilege, so they will just keep up the theatrics. Protests will mean nothing if more people don't start seeing through the empty gestures of corporate dems and voting them out.
