I won't share the video of Buffalo police shoving a man to the ground & leaving him bleeding. This isn't about individual cops or departments. Nationwide we're seeing a force that feels all-powerful & unaccountable wreaking havoc on the communities it claims to serve.
Take away the riot gear and the guns. Take away the massive blacked out SUVs and the armored vehicles. Reimagine public safety as a concept grounded in guaranteeing the health, education, and prosperity of the people. What we have cannot be reformed.
That video showed at least 30 -40 bad apples walking over the unconscious body of an elderly man bleeding profusely out of his ears. Those men are sociopathic. They should not have weapons. They need to be charged for murder.
Really... because i see human beings behind the badge who are scared of all the rioters out there. If i had thousand of people wanting to hurt me and didnt like me i would be scared too. We are in a cycle that is bad.
They can stop, take off their gear, put down their weapons, and live peacefully. They don’t need to fear if they don’t cause violence
