I once asked the police chief about them. He told me he didn’t have power over them. I then asked if they carried guns. He responded that he knew they had the permits to. These absurd things we’re seeing on the national stage have all happened here, too.

They weren’t equipped with this level of gear, but they had that same all black non-descript clothing, same intimidating look, and would camp out together on corners on Market street watching people. Worst of all, private security forces have zero accountability to the people.
