Do you oppose a civil Gideon? Do you think people facing eviction or foreclosure should have guaranteed legal representation or not? This is an important issue and from this tweet it sounds like you're opposed to this progressive reform.

No, just expressing frustration with how often we have conversations that acknowledge a broken system, but then pitch solutions on how to navigate it rather than repair it. Particularly for medical bankruptcy, which shouldn't exist.

I do! And while he held out for changes to Hyde, I also know he was using language of access, affordable, & how will we pay for it a little over a year ago. I just think it's important to always reinforce medical bankruptcy shouldn't exist even while pushing for right to counsel.
