We need to be very clear that the impacts of COVID-19 in our state are NOT "balanced by race" anywhere. Black people represent 20% of our population, but almost 37% of cases where race is known. For the impacts to actually be balanced, we'd need to see 4x (!!!) the number of cases for white people. This is how the effects of systemic racism manifest in society.
