The narrative that students with debt should have picked better majors to get higher paying jobs is bogus. For one, education is valid no matter whether it leads to wealth. Two, the loans are predatory and people pay thousands of dollars only to owe more than they borrowed.

There are so many young people that got screwed by the college loans. They were totally overcharged and promised false hopes. Jobs aren’t paying enough to pay them back. Just another money grab, to keep them down.

Thank YOU! I'm going to keep fighting to fix this. With the right people in office and the enough people on the ground in the grassroots fight, we can do this and bail out the people.

It has taken me +13 years to get rid of my student loan debt. It's a relatively small loan, and graduated from University of California, but it was definitely a financial burden, and affected me negatively when I tried to apply for a mortgage and car loans.
