What concerns me is the woman vp paired with the woman of color on the Supreme Court, first of all that’s setting up some weird distinctions, and second the complete separation between representation of experience and representation of appearance is tokenism 101
The Biden’s woman VP thing is giving me serious flashbacks to the time a boss told me & another woman we were competing for a promotion.
Love how this perpetuates the myth that there can only ever be one & women are always pitted against each other in the name of advancement.

When he announced that he was going to have a female VP, I assumed "cool, he's already picked a qualified running mate", not "I'm gonna pick some woman at some point, because people like that, right?"

McCain picked a woman for v.p. He picked the wrong woman and it sunk him. Palin was a disaster. I got so bullied that year by repubs trying to push me to vote McCain because his running mate was a woman. Like what’s in someone’s head means nothing. What their policy is.
